SurfBox Prepares for Jersey Landing!

We have just been awarded the contract for the supply of internet kiosks at Jersey Airport, in the Channel Islands. The kiosks will be installed in early April, 2010.

The contract is initially for four kiosks, with two each to be located at the check-in area and at the newly refurbished Departure Gates. There is an option to supply further kiosks in the Departures area and in the Arrivals Hall st a later stage, depending on the user-demand.

Our kiosks will be supplied with full internet access, printer, Microsoft Office software, and connections for USB drives and head-phones. The desk design will be similar to the kiosks in our other airport locations, where users have a fully seated desktop space enlcosed by perspex screens for added privacy. They will also be illuminated with an attractive and eye-catching blue backlight.

Jersey Airport is the only airport on the island of Jersey, in the Channel Islands. There are daily flights to numerous UK airport destinations as well as Dublin, Paris, Geneva and Zurich. The airport has just undergone a major redevelopement of the airside departures lounge. Free WiFi supplied by Jersey Telecom is available throughout the airport, and the addition of the SurfBox service will complement this.

This is a very exciting development for the company, as it will be our first airport contract outside of Ireland and the UK mainland. It makes a total of eight airports offering SurfBox internet, and we are at an advanced stage of negotiation with a number of other airports. Expect some more announcements in this space shortly!
